Costs and Limitations:

Additional types of costs that a user may be required to pay to implement or use the service, may include initial, one-time, and ongoing costs for the subscription, maintenance, and implementation services of the certified product version. Users may encounter limitations in the course of

implementing and using the service. Users may encounter the need to engage in additional terms and conditions with third party vendors.

This certified product version supports Clinical Decision Support (CDS) capabilities (§ 170.315(a)(9)). The use of an Info Button as provided under this feature will require additional recurring costs.

Electronic prescriptions (§ 170.315(b)(3)) are routed to pharmacies via SureScripts. To ensure all Controlled Substances prescriptions are electronically routed through DrFirst, providers must enroll with ePrescribe Controlled Substances (EPCS). EPCS requires validation of a provider’s DEA number and approval by another trusted user within the practice. Following enrollment, EPCS-enrolled providers must complete a two-factor authentication which requires being logged into the CareCloud system and requires multi-factor token.

This certified product version supports Data Export capabilities (§170.315(b)(6)) and may require additional upfront costs for multiple data extract services.

The certified product version supports End-User Device Encryption (§170.315(d)(7)), however applications within the scope of CareCloud Charts do not utilize end user device-based storage.
